One of Anna's friends took us wine tasting in Newport. We bought a bottle and took it to the beach where we laid out some blankets and watched the sun set over the ocean. We took off our shoes and rolled up our jeans so we could put our feet into the Atlantic Ocean for the first time ever. She drove us around to see the mansions and we hung out with some of her friends and listened to her awesome reggae mix CD on repeat. Such a wonderful day!

I seriously cannot get enough of Arcade Fire's new album The Suburbs. I was listening to it on loop for my long walk down to the marina. If you haven't heard it yet go listen. It might change your life.

Some more photos from the beach near the Sutro Baths. That giant camera building housed a camera obscura, which was unfortunately closed when I was there. I think camera obscuras are awesome.

Here is my favorite spot in San Fransisco: the Sutro Baths. It is the remains of an old swimming pool complex built in the 1890's and burned down in the 1960's. Now you can wander the ruins and climb climb up the cliffs surrounding them and pass through giant holes in the cliffs to see the ocean on the other side. It was so beautiful and a little bit haunting.

Also, I saw The Helio Sequence play last night and they were fantastic! You should check them out.
